Deborah Russell serves as the Associate Director of Performance and Impact for the District’s Workforce Investment Council. Performance and Impact oversees the one stop system and ensures policies and processes are in place to effectively support the workforce system and the residents and businesses they serve.Prior to joining the DC WIC, Deborah served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation, responsible for overseeing programs, operations and Human Resources.Deborah Russell is an international speaker and executive management consultant on organizational development and talent management who has worked with Fortune 500 CEOs. Before launching her own consulting business she was Director of Workforce Issues at AARP and is credited with establishing the Best Employers for Workers Over 50 award. Ms. Russell has taken her issue expertise in aging workforce and employment issues and has paired it with her experience in programming to create valuable content for conferences and summits for organizations of all shapes and sizes.
