I have worked for Chichester District Council since October 2002 . I initially joined as a Senior Systems Administrator and team leader, responsible for the system administration of the Revenues and Benefits and cash receipting systems. Then in October 2020 I had a complete change of direction and secured the Customer Service Manager role, overseeing a team of 24 officers.The move proved to be a massive challenge for me.The customer service environment is very tough and often under-valued. It is a pressured and ever-changing environment that takes a dedicated and resilient team to achieve positive outcomes, and I am very proud to be the manager of such a team.In February 2024 I gained a distinction in the Chartered Management Institute Level 5 Operational Management qualification. It was a very valuable course that helped me enormously as a new manager and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a similar qualification.
