• Successfully managed the packaging designs and production for various new parts from multiple suppliers for seven different automotive models being manufactured at three separate plants. Managed multiple demands, overlapping schedules, and tight deadlines to meet various plant production deadlines.• Utilized Honda packaging management software (NAPS, PDTS) to assist in updating, maintaining, and managing data for all projects.• Met multiple ongoing project deadlines with model project leaders by analyzing packaging requirements and coordinating with suppliers on expectations. Maintained constant lines of communication as the engineer with the sole point of contact between suppliers and project leaders.• Collaborated with fellow project engineers at other plants to discuss packaging design options that could be utilized across plants, suppliers, and models to increase efficiency, maintain safety, and minimize costs.• Scheduled and ran concept meetings with Packaging Development Team (PDT) to design most cost effective packaging that would maximize part protection and be user friendly.• Worked directly with fabricators to develop packaging prototypes that met my preliminary design concepts. Successfully met project deadlines and brought finalized packaging designs to completion to be mass produced for both suppliers and manufacturing. Observed packaging designs during their initial stages to confirm there were no issues and modified designs, if necessary, to rectify them.• Scheduled and performed packaging reviews (static and dynamic) with PDT to ensure packaging performance met or exceeded expectations. Managed process to trouble shoot issues and redesign aspects, if necessary, from concept through mass production and beyond.• Conducted comparative analysis on quotes from multiple fabricators to make educated decisions on best fabricator to build final packaging designs according to key specifications.
