Briscoe Protective Systems Inc. was founded in 1978 in Brooklyn NY, as a residential security alarm company and 10 years later the principals formed a fire alarm equipment distribution company specializing in NYC approved Fire Alarms. The name “Briscoe” is in memory of the grandfather of one of the principals. Joseph Bartholomew “Bert” Briscoe was a fight trainer who coached Archie Moore and Sandy Sadler (Light/Heavyweight Champions). Bert believed that the “things you make in life” are what you are, and the most important thing you can make is “a difference” in the lives of your fellow man. His ideals have helped form the basis of the company motto: “People Helping People Make a Difference”.
