Nurse practitioner in the ACE ( After the Cancer Experience) pediatric and young adult cancer survivor center. Responsible for program development and expansion, research coordination, and evidence-based practice for survivors of all ages. Facilitated initiation of the first pediatric survivorship program in the US to partner with adult medicine at UTSW to develop an adult program for survivors of childhood cancer, now viewed as a pivotal strategy for improving outcomes and a program that is modelled nationwide. Chaired the COG Nursing Discipline Clinical Practice Late Effects Subcommittee for 2 years, leading to participation in the co-development of the COG Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivorship Guidelines (www.survivorshipguidelines.org), nationally used guidelines for pediatric cancer care.Clinical Manager for APRNs in Pediatric Oncology (1996-1998). Oversight of NP practice , performance improvement , clinical care and practitioner evaluations.
