Hello World ESL is an online survival English course designed to meet the needs of refugees living in the US. An international team of professional Educators, Artists, and IT professionals have come together to build the course comprising of 50 English lessons with audio, video, text, and interactive content. We are building partnerships with government agencies, Non-profit NGOs, educational institutions, and community and religious aid organizations to help refugees access the Hello World online platform. Debra is an educator and professor working with homeless immigrants working on obtaining citizenship and with inner city minorities learning literacy and ESL. Debra has experience working with the non-profit sector, in education, supervising community educators, schools and communities. She is an administrator of community education programs to researchers, K-12 educators, guidance counselors, administrators, law enforcement, and public servants in the legal sector (e.g., District Attorney's Offices). Debra also is a trained mediator (2005), Office of Massachusetts Attorney General Thomas F. Reilly.
