Principal responsibilities included: facilitating various courses in Textiles and Fashion Design; implementing course curriculum, objectives and activities; advising students; maintaining student's files, grade book, and good communication with students; uploading course syllabi and pertinent files to Blackboard; development of course curriculum; development of on-line courses in Textile Science and Historic Costume; conducted study tours to Paris, London, New York, Dallas, Atlanta, and Kansas City; research/grant writing; presented at university, community, state, and national meetings/workshops/faculty development seminars/conferences; professional and community service; served on university committees; and attended various meetings and workshops for professional development. Missouri State University (MSU)Graduate Faculty, MSU Master Advisor certified, MSU Faculty Mentor/MSU Faculty Mentor Network for Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Advisor for Gamma Alpha Lambda (first chapter chartered Spring 2003 at MSU),and Advisor for Fashion Students (ACTM). Awards included: Who's Who Among America's Teachers (2004), National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals (2002), Missouri State University/College of Health & Human Services Recognition Award for Excellence in Outstanding Teaching (1997), Outstanding Young Woman of America (1987).
