I recently received my Master's Degree in Software Engineering with a concentration in Data Management from the University of St. Thomas. My goal is to return to IT and my chosen career. The required coursework has provided a good broad base for this ever-changing technical world. I am excited to put these skills to work in a professional environment.Previously, I have worked as a consultant for large local manufacturing companies such as Ecolab, 3M, and General Mills. Most of this work was mainframe based, primarily utilizing COBOL and FOCUS. My ability to easily adapt to new environments and platforms was a great asset.I have also worked as a Business Analyst at Rosemount Aerospace. My main function was as the division resource for FOCUS users. FOCUS was a Fourth-generation programming language. Although I was completely new to FOCUS, I was up to speed and providing the level of support required for my position after just a short time. I also developed training materials specific to our division and started a users group.Most recently, I have been working at the local high school as an assistant to the Activities/Athletic Director. This detour from my career path was a family decision that allowed me to be available to our children and still contribute financially.
