I have been active as a freelancer in the hospitality and events sector for almost 5 years. Moreover, I have been registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce since 2019. I have worked for more than a hundred different clients, ranging from 5-star hotels (Amstel Hotel, Krasnapolsky, L’Europe, etc.) to small-scale restaurants and large event locations. I mostly started in service, but in recent years I have been deployed more often as a shift leader and supervisor at various places. Working as a freelancer in this industry is enormously varied, as I often worked in several different places during the week. Therefore, this work has made me extremely flexible and I can quickly adapt to dynamic working conditions, as well as to new workplaces and colleagues. This work also allowed me to further develop my leadership qualities.

During the last year of my Bachelor’s program at Hotelschool the Hague, I completed my management internship at Founders Carbon Network and subsidiary Pearlcard. Founders Carbon Network is a very exclusive and diverse business network, for which I organized high-end events on a weekly basis. Hong Kong

During the second year of my Bachelor’s program at Hotelschool the Hague, I moved to Hong Kong to execute my practical internship at the InterContinental hotel. Over the span of 6 months, I worked at two F&B outlets: The Lobby Lounge & Nobu. During this internship I have developed myself personally and professionally. I made long days here and I had to perform continuously under high pressure. I learned a lot about the (work) mentality and hierarchy in Hong Kong and how it differs from the Netherlands. In addition, it was a exceptional experience to live in a metropolis on the other side of the world at such a young age. I learned a lot about the differences between Eastern and Western culture and how to communicate with the local population.
