From the most recent:* American Land & Leisure - 2015 Area Managers at Turlock Lake State Recreation Area near Modesto, CA (2013 as Campground Managers)AL&L is the largest private concessionaire in the United States -- managing a variety of recreational facilities across the country. Turlock Lake SRA - scheduled to close prior to AL&L taking them over. What did we manage? 4 Host couples budgeted to work as part of our team (never fully staffed so we work definitely working managers). 66-site forested campground along Tuolumne River. Large Day Use areaa mile away on Turlock Lake (26 miles of shoreline) with picnic areas, beach, & boat launch. Responsible for all facets of day-to-day operations -- SOME of these included: • Overall responsibility for the management, security, and maintenance of Turlock Lake SRA.• Training of employees.• Assisting employees with a variety of issues.• Ensuring scheduled maintenance and repairs are accomplished.• Collection, accounting, and reporting of area revenue.• Management and control of equipment and supplies.• Supporting the Regional Manager, including additional duties as assigned.* 2014 winter - March 2015 in Ehrenberg AZ - Debbie in office, and assisting with activities & library* May 2014 to Mid October - Beaver Lake Campground - Custer, SDRob and I LOVED the owner family, staff - and working as an onsite CAMPHOST TEAM, workampers. I worked in the OFFICE/Camp Store & Rob worked Light Maintenance.LOTS of customer service, computer, register etc. Rob put all of his electrical & handyman experience to good use.We LOVED it - the Black Hills of South Dakota, therefore SEASONAL. We were unable to return in Spring 2015,Our VIRTUAL BUSINESS SERVICES available to them & their guests.* Summer 2012 - Balboa RV Park (formerly known as Birmingham) - we loved it here in Van Nuys, CA and Steve and staff were great - provided Business Services, giving them internet presence, social media.
