As part of a support staff to a team of mental health counselors, it was my privilege to greet clients in ways that helped them feel welcome, safe, and secure. In addition, I maintained client files, scheduled appointments, entered information into databases, operated office equipment, and assisted clinicians as needed.*Unfortunately due to CoVid, my position was eliminated.

As a newspaper columnist for The Williamston Journal in SC for four years, I wrote a column called Tapestry. It was about faith, family, and funny moments in life. A compilation of articles was published by The Baptist Courier in 2001 in a book entitled Recollections. It is out of print now. I hope to author another book or two in the future.From 2012-2019, I began a blog sharing poetry and reflections about life and faith. The articles are no longer online, but I'd be happy to share written samples.I care deeply about communicating meaningful truths and personal experiences in an engaging, passionate way that connects with, encourages, and inspires others. I have spoken to groups of people in MI, SC, and WI churches using a variety of themes and topics.

I served the community as a receptionist and office assistant. I helped greet clients and visitors, write obituaries, enter confidential information into databases, maintain files, use office equipment, and assist the staff. My favorite parts of the job were being able to meet people during a particularly difficult time in their life and to make a difference by the way that I treated them with compassion, kindness, and grace. By doing my job well, I was able to extend greater care to them.
