- After being elected for Vice President at the University of Surrey for Athletics after just my first year, the responsibility to lead, organise and guide the club could not be more vital. One must communicate with all the sections of the club from the beginners, to the president and put forward and act upon the collective ideas of the people being represented. - This role meant organising social events and competitive ones. In addition, this required assorting the entries, transport and being present a minimum of five times a week to coach or converse with fellow members on the board to plan or act upon motions. - Over my tenure I resolved £2000 worth of debt through marketing, policy and financial changes within the club. This also saw a 55% increase in membership allowing us to become one of the largest clubs at university. These points, as well as others, meant we won the ‘University of Surrey Trophy’ given to the most improved club out of the 212 available at the University of Surrey.
