Was presented the " Art Advocate of the Year" award by WHAM Art Association for my work promoting all medias within in the West Valley. Have worked with them creating art and promoting art in many locations. Art exhibited at Adelante Medical, Gallery Glendale, West Valley Symphony, at the Valley Vista Performing Arts Center, The State Capitol, House of Representatives, WHAM Art Association Community Center Art walks, where I also have my studio, "The Art is Alive" Fair and many other places. I continue to seek new venues to promote art and to help develop interests on the Westside. Most recently, I created a new event that WHAM sponsored which was a fundraiser to help raise money for the education of the Native American Apache children in Cibecue, AZ. I did my research on the Apache Reservation, and recruited the Renaissance Hotel, as our Sponsor for the venue. I also promoted this program at the WVAC at Marley Park in Surprise, AZ. at 2 events; one called "There's Art in every heart" in February, and another that was tied to an outdoor music event. After that, was a presentation to the Pebble Creek Art Group, and now on March 29-30th this work can be seen and purchased at "Catitudes Art Gallery in Avondale, AZ. & the "Art is Alive" Faire in Surprise Community Park, as well as at the ASU Glendale Campus Fletcher Library in May, and the Watermelon Art festival in Glendale in June~

Created and exhibited a "One Woman" art show for ALW in Avondale; for the City Civic Center in June 2013. Also have acted as the ALW Publicity Chair. Currently working on Gallery Glendale Exhibit with City of Glendale & Westgate Entertainment District. I created Premier exhibition program for WHAM Art Association in July/August 2013, and exhibited there. I also exhibited in November for West Valley Arts Council, and will again exhibit for ALW in January 2014~ Currently consulting on ALW exhibition on Gallery Glendale Committee~ Was also presented the " Art Advocate of the Year" award by WHAM Art Association for my work promoting all medias within in the West Valley. Participated, and exhibited at Art Alliance, in Scottsdale, for ALW. I have also been awarded several ribbons for 2nd place " Artist of the Month" with this organization in Goodyear, AZ.

Have had my artwork exhibited at many of West Valley Art Council's exhibits at Marley Park, in Surprise, AZ. and am currently working with them as the Chairperson of the Sales Committee for the Annual Diamond Ball Fundraiser.. Also inspirational speaker for Marysville High school at WVAC Steinbeck lecture, and at Valley Vista Performing Arts Center for art students VASA exhibit in 2013, in Surprise. Judge for school children's art program in Buckeye, AZ. Volunteer for events promo and have worked several, such as Wigwam Holiday, and Marley Park Holiday events to raise $$ for children's art scholarships. Also involved at Beneviila, participating with Memory group and poetry program. Recruit new members for WVAC. Recruited several in 2013 and already 2014.Created lectures for the "Big Read". Researched and wrote Steinbeck lectures for both WVAC and also for Marysville High. Worked with San Jose State University Director of Steinbeck Studies, Nick Taylor at the Martha Heasley Cox Library for Steinbeck studies in San Jose, Calif. and also the archivist, Peter Van Coutren to authenticate my work. Created presentation " A Novel Experience" complete with poetry, verse, lecture material and visuals.On March 1, 2014, I was presented with "The Champion of the Arts" Award at the Wigwam in Litchfield Park, AZ. This Award is a great honor and is selected by the Board of Directors for the West Valley Arts Council. It was presented to me at their 21st Annual Diamond Ball.

Took PSA Ribbons for 3 of my pieces submitted in AAA competition. Promote this association and have brought in several new members. Recruit for membership.

On the Membership Committee. I have been recruiting members for WVAM for years. I also have been involved in many of their "Juried" exhibits, and specifically in their "Celebration of Artists" for several years in a row. In Sept./October, 2013, I was able to help WVAM sell tickets to the FUNDRAISER "BIG" at Theater Works, to raise $$ for the City of Yarnell; which burnt to the ground. All proceeds from the ticket sale + some art that I had several artists friends donate, ( to be raffled off at a silent auction), went for Yarnell to be rebuilt. Will be exhibiting at the "Celebration of Artists" again, at Peoria City Hall Art Gallery in April 2014.

I will soon be on Fine Arts America as well... I have been a photographer since my childhood and like to take pixs of everyday, "Ordinary" subjects, objects. etc. for creation into "Extraordinary" art for your viewing pleasure. I designed and directed a program for a new art gallery named "Gallery Glendale", in the Westgate Entertainment District, Glendale Az. I worked with the City of Glendale, Parks and Recreation and Arts Dept. to establish a program that I implemented in August 2013. This program included seeking sponsors for the event. I recruited The Renaissance- Glendale Hotel and Spa, and created the "Renaissance People's Choice Award" to draw individuals into the gallery and have them vote for their favorite artist and artwork. This was a very successful program with over 1500 + attending. I also created the program for "Juried Art" only, which was juried by the Executive Director of the West Valley Arts Council , along with a long standing, well known, "Juried artist". 25 WHAM members were selected to exhibit. I was one of them. I created a theme for the event, did all Pubic Relations, procurement of artwork and artists, art class creation, activities creation and planned an Artist Reception, which was attended by over 500 people. The reception was well planned with Music (Acoustical Guitar), Food by a sponsor that I procured " Johnny Rockets", and also lots of activities and art demos, by both educators and WHAM members. Closing ceremonies were also planned and implemented, as well as a "Silent Auction" with all proceeds going to a Charity for Brain Injury patients. This event was well recognized by the Arizona Republic News as well as several known websites. From this event, we were recognized by the City of Glendale , and asked to participate in another New Art project in September, 2013~
