I lead a highly effective team of literacy coaches and directors to develop and implement a standards based curriculum Prekindergarten to grade 5. Through this quality curriculum implementation, we were able align resources and shift teacher instructional practices creating improvement in student achievement. Developed a high quality preschool for three and four year old children from both Hartford and the surrounding towns. The curriculum was developed by the teachers and coaches aligning the CT Early Childhood Standards that seamlessly embedded literacy, mathematics, science and technology. The HPK magnet school was designed to facilitate high quality instructional practices along with social emotional skills necessary for a successful transition into kindergarten. The Prekindergarten teachers provided highly effective instructional practices consistently throughout the day and became exemplary teachers within the district, providing professional development opportunities for colleagues within the district and beyond.

Principal and instructional leader of Noah Webster Microsociety Magnet School, located in the West End of the city serving over 600 prekindergarten to grade 8 students from Hartford and surrounding towns. The school promoted academic excellence at every level while encouraging students to achieve their maximum learning potential. Students took part in the John's Hopkins assessment and may spent summers learning at top universities. Our eighth grade student were recruited by private schools. Noah Webster held the distinction of being the highest performing school within Hartford from 2010 to 2012. In addition to leading Noah Webster, I also supervised and supported four additional schools and principals providing cohort collaboration and coaching.
