As a part time volunteer for the Discovery shop, I take in donated clothing, furniture, and other misc. items. These then need to be unpacked, cleaned and sorted. I work mostly with clothing that needs to be priced and hung out for sale. I assist at the front counter with packing and helping to check out the customers. I do general cleaning, assembling, and displaying of items. I assist customers in any way that I can including taking donated goods out of vehicles to taking purchased good to vehicles I assist customers with locations of items and other duties as requested. This is a volunteer job that is really fun and rewarding.

Management and implementation of natural resource conservation programs in a dual county area. Customer service to a wide variety of clientele including the initial contact, site visit, technical recommendations and designs, program paperwork and eligibility, contract management, and final implementation of the payments within the Farm Bill Programs. Other duties included creation and restoration of wildlife and wetland habitats, erosion recommendations and partial design, wetland determinations on cropland and partial woodlands, drainage consultations, general good resource management techniques. I implement education programs and marketing strategies to further program applications. Cultural Resource research and reports written. NEPA research and reports completed and submitted for approval. Worked with many other federal, state, and local agencies to promote a common goal.

This position included acting for and supervising other employees on an 'as requested' assignment.I served as the Federal Women's Program Manager for the state of Ohio for 4 years. In this collateral position gave me experience in handling complaints, (written and oral) and allowed us to resolve them without legal recourse. I served as the Chair of the Civil Rights Advisory Committee in Ohio for 3 years . This collateral position allowed me to work with outreach programs and universities and job fairs. I served as the Chair of the Ohio USDA NRCS Mentoring Committee, a member, and a mentor. As a mentor I met one on one with my protege on an as needed basis to help with questions and support.I voluntarily served 1 month on temporary duties in Durango Colorado and Springfield Missouri working on emergency watershed program work. These programs put me out in burned, mud slide, and flooded areas to assist landowners with emergency resource problems.

Assisted District Conservationist with Farm Bill Programs. Worked with the local Soil and Water Conservation Service to help educate both children and adults on environmental issues and processes. Hands on field work in all weather conditions including survey work, field site visits, soil sampling, water sampling, crop field investigations. This was a non-supervisory role.

Front desk reception and administrative duties including invoicing, multi-line phone answering, mail, filing. I successfully set up and hosted large customer events and workshops. I was in charge of and completed an entire warehouse parts location system. This included cataloging and locating over 3000 parts.

I started this position as a cashier and gained experience with marketing, displays, sales, and ordering of merchandise. When I was promoted to assistant manager I would do the weekly employee scheduling, grocery ordering, organizing, checking, rotating stock, and cleaning of the store. I was a key holder and opened and closed the store.
