We all deserve to know what is in our food, our skincare, and our personal care products. I'm on a mission for healthy and safe living and would love to create a community of sharing information and ideas. I'm a leader with Beautycounter and while I will focus on our company's mission in this group, please use this community to discuss all products, companies, etc. that fit the description. By raising awareness, I hope to inspire change so we can all make better, more informed choices for our health and for the health and safety of those we love. Together, we can make a difference by making choices about about our products. When we know more, we can do better! I joined Beautycounter to be a part of a company whose mission is to get safer products into the hands of everyone. It is my sincere hope that you will take a closer look at what you are currently using on a daily basis. Making small changes can add up. Don't get overwhelmed. It's progress, not perfection. As for personal care products, you can look up many products on the following site - www.ewg.org/skindeep, which is the Environmental Working Group's (EWG's) Skin Deep Cosmetic Database. The EWG is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. Products are rated 1-10 based on ingredients (low, moderate, high hazards). If a product isn't found on the EWG's list, you can scan the ingredients against Beautycounter's Never List (uploaded as a document in the FILES section of this page, above).
