I am an experienced adult registered nurse with over two decades in nursing, education, and safety. Currently an Advanced Transfusion Practitioner, I design and deliver training programmes, conduct audits, investigate blood transfusion incidents, update policies and procedures on blood transfusion and ensure safe transfusion practices. In my role, I created an e-learning package for blood transfusion and frequently present haemovigilance and wastage reports to hospital committees.Previously, as a Clinical Practice Educator, I supported trainee nursing associates, international nurse programme participants, and new nurses, including developing content and organising apprenticeship recruitment events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I excelled in creating virtual training programmes and digitising courses for Oxford University Hospitals, leading to a Team of the Year nomination.My extensive experience includes acute care in the UK, India, and UAE, and 12 years as a Medical Training Officer with Emirates Airlines, where I coached new trainers and developed orientation packages. I recently completed a Master’s in Nursing - Professional Practice, focusing on innovation and leadership.Additionally, I serve as the network officer for Oxford University Hospital’s BAME group, supporting and inspiring internationally recruited employees. My passion for healthcare education and patient safety has continued to grow within my role as an Advanced Transfusion Practitioner.
