I am a professional writer, garden coach, speaker, and podcaster. I specialize in garden writing, although I've written for other publications on diverse topics including blogging and SEO. Michel and I started and garden podcast called the Gardenangelists. As a speaker, I was part of two panels on blogging and social media at GardenComm's annual meetings. I regularly speak regionally in Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. I spoke at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in Seattle three times. I was thrilled to write a book geared to twenty and thirty year olds as they learn the craft of gardening.I've written online for Fiskars.com and HGTVGardens.com on varied garden topics. I also wrote for Lowe's Corporation and many other companies. I like producing copy on various landscape topics. I was a legal assistant for ten years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and an Associate Degree in Legal Assistance. I later took the certification test to become a Certified Legal Assistant--CLA. I also have a concentration in Botany taking every course the University of Oklahoma offered. Garden writing and garden coaching are two of my passions. I love helping people find the true garden in their home landscapes. Specialties: Garden Coaching, Speaking on most horticultural topics especially geared toward growing things in a difficult climate. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals. My journalism degree gives me insight into writing and other media. My legal background helped hone my editing skills and discernment. I can also read legal documents and understand them.
