Procurement Engineer -Plant Design
Current-Liaising with Supply Chain and Procurement QA on Procurement related matters (OS&D'S, Inspection, Vendor substitutes, technical discrepancies)-Provide Engineering Change Control guidance, provide active support to field issues and Field Initiated Changes, and facilitate a positive outcome with EPC vendors.-Prepare Design Change Packages such as Modifications, Temporary Modifications and Non-Identical Component Replacements.-Experience in working with procedures meeting quality… Show more -Liaising with Supply Chain and Procurement QA on Procurement related matters (OS&D'S, Inspection, Vendor substitutes, technical discrepancies)-Provide Engineering Change Control guidance, provide active support to field issues and Field Initiated Changes, and facilitate a positive outcome with EPC vendors.-Prepare Design Change Packages such as Modifications, Temporary Modifications and Non-Identical Component Replacements.-Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1,ISO-9000.-Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards such as ASME B31.3 and ASME 31.1.-Perform evaluations in accordance with engineering procedures; technical specifications; codes including ASME, ANS, ASTM, ANSI, IEEE, EPRI, ISA, NEI, and NERC; NRC regulatory requirements; Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) good practices; and design basis requirements.-Reconcile equipment documentation to the ASME Code.-Determine technical procurement requirements using the plant design basis to maintain configuration control.-Supports safe, reliable operation by identifying and effectively resolving issues via the corrective action and work management processes.-Addresses obsolescence through sourcing of replacement parts.-Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions.-Review of Request for Proposal (RFP), including Technical Specifications, for replacement materials to be purchased for Nuclear Utilities with intent to verify specifications are sufficiently detailed to send out for quotation-Review of Supplier Quotations to verify compliance with RFP Technical Specifications, and/or compile exception list-Identification of Technical and Quality Purchase Requirements for purchase orders to procure replacement parts-Performance of Item Equivalency Evaluations for alternate replacement materials when specified material no longer available.
