Assisted in market research using focus groups with equipment suppliers and commercial customers, to assess acceptability of various DSM program options. Based on the analysis the SECV selected a rebate program where they offered cash incentives to customers who installed energy efficient HVAC and Lighting measures. Assisted in the program design and implementation.• For both the Electricity Trust of South Australia (ETSA) and the State Electricity Commission of Western Australia (SECWA) carried out cost benefit analysis (using SRC’s COMPASS software) on a number of DSM options targeted at residential, commercial and industrial customers.• For the Hydro-Electric Commission (HEC) in Tasmania, involved in conducting customer segmentation analysis and developing energy and demand profiles. • For UN funded project to study DSM potential for a number of Pacific Island nations, assisted in the training of local utility staff in DSM issues. Conducted training and assisted in collection of data required to run the SRC software. Designed customer surveys to identify how energy was being used. Using all the data collected identified 10 DSM program that could be implemented in the Pacific Islands to save energy and demand. • For the Asian Development Bank, worked on a project to develop DSM programs in the Philippines. Spent 3 months in Manila working with local utilities to develop data required for the project. • For Energy Victoria, assisted in the evaluation of their Home Energy Rating Scheme (HERS) program.
