Study and analysis of Reclamation Process Of Disposition; The project undertaken by me at Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd as part of Summer Training Program provided me an opportunity to:Understand the Reclamation Process of Disposition and gain an insight into the various activities in the logistics department. To study the existing procedures related to reclamation process for line damage/Supplier Quality rejections/logistics damage. To analyze the various factors responsible for Logistics rejections and to know their impact on these Rejections.To study the existing systems and to find out any improvement and also to know the main areas of concern for logistics Rejection Parts.One of the components of this project is to make sure the scheduled meeting of all the three concerned person viz. Production, Supplier quality and Logistics, should be present at the scheduled time so as to discuss the reason of rejection i.e. whether it is Line damage problem, supplier Quality problem or Logistic/Transit damage problem.23% of the total rejection is due to logistic rejection. Out of those 23% rejection it is found that around 73% of rejection is due to Poor handling, Poor Packing and Transit damage.Poor packing is major issue as observed. This was also supported from the data that Poor Packing contributes 52% of total cost of Logistic rejection.Computer ProficiencyOperating Systems : Windows 98,ME & XPPackage: Microsoft Office2003,Well versed with Internet and Power Point 2003.
