Evening Shift in-charge of Zee News Output Desk, responsible for all the news bulletins produced from evening 5PM to 12PM (Excluding DNA). This responsibility includes planning for news shows for different age group and target audience and implement and execute the same to get the desired results. This requires forward planning on topics that are going to trend in coming and planning special projects around those themes. Only person who has in-depth knowledge of SEO, can excel in this field. I manage a team of 20 plus journalist for the same. Content thus produced goes on digital and social platforms of Zee News's millions of followers on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and website. I shoulder the responsibility of proof reading and supervisions of the contents that go on-air.

This was my first managerial job, where I was whole sole in-charge of weekend programs. I was producer of 4 half hour shows FIT RAHE INDIA, RAFTAAR, SABSE BADA RUPAIYA and GREAT INDIAN BAZAAR. Right from conceptualisation of show to scripting and editing and making it on-air ready was my responsibility. We had a small team of 3. I learnt the basics of team management at NDTV.

Here my responsibility was to hunt of news stories and deliver it in a format that interests common man. I worked as business desk reporter covering real estate for almost 2 years and learnt the skill of on ground reporting at this desk. Having worked at desk helped me a lot, as I had first hand experience of copy editing and scripting.

This was totally new domain for me. Having had few experiences of business reporting while working with print medium at Navbharat Times, I was here groomed to do shows related to Stock markets. I was little more trained to handle rundown, how to make live Television show and how ti handle breaking news scenarios. Needless to say, here I gathered the courage to handle the LIVE news pressure in television news room.

I was part of legal programming team. It was very brief tenure of about 6 months where I produced weekly program covering legal issues called INSAAF KA TARAAZOO. It was based on dramatic representation of court battles that got prominently reported in media at that time. From doing basic backgrounder Research to Scripting and then doing the anchor shoot, everything was single handedly handled by me. It was my first on ground learning of Television Programs, that groomed to accept future challenges of television industry.

The best part of this one year of print journalism was I got to work on almost 3-4 desk including the Iraq War Page, where I did write few analytical pieces on the same.
