Based out of the Head Office in Gurgaon, basically responsible for the Groceries/FMCG replenishment from Distribution Centre to Stores, apart from the Purchase Planning.

 Responsible for the Purchase/Production/Packaging/Dispatch Planning, Inventory Management at the warehouses• Monthly validation and revisiting of ROL (Re-order Levels) basis the sales skew for both Stores and Warehouses in conjunction with Sales and Marketing.• Basis the changes in the ROLs, to churn the same into the Production/Purchase plan for the month for Productions Units and release of PO (Purchase Orders) to the preselected Vendors.• Responsible for Providing and Monitoring Dispatch cum production compliance of Outsourced Production cum packing units.• Daily Monitoring of MIS/KPIs through SAP R/3 inclusive of Fill Rate Report, Daily Opening and Closing stock Values report for Inventory levels, short/excess report, consolidated dispatch report, requirement v/s dispatch report, daily Warehouse activity report, Quality inspection report.• Responsible for entire warehouse operations for all the 9 warehouses in terms of Stock accountability, SOP adherence, Man power Management, productivity, legalities, Quality control etc• Handling the transportation through Self Owned 26 Vehicles and market hired transporters • Logistics expenses incurred during the month and analysis to reduce the same Helped save the cost to the organization to the tune of estimated 4.8 Cr per annum with the re-engineering of the warehouses and optimum utilization of the company owned vehicles. Represented Vishal Retail ltd in the FICCI annual Conferences, New Delhi from the FMCG SCM front. Improvement of DC Fill Rate (Availability of Material) from level of 42% to 78% (Peaking at 84%). a total reduction of inventory levels from 42 days to current 25 days inventory level.Reduced and liquidated GRt (Goods Return from Stores) from 1.6 Cr in all DC to current 45 Lacs Only and derived a rigid process for the scrap sale.

 Responsible for the conversion of Sales Forecast into the Production plans for Production Unit. Responsible for Dispatch and Production planning including Distribution of finished Goods from Production Units to different Depots. Inventory calculation and planning for the dispatch of the material to different locations Responsible for Reliability Improvement (OTIF) Implementation procedures. Implement DRP (Dispatch Requirement Planning) software as per ICI requirements. o Dispatch Plan from 3 Production units to 31 Main depots, 21 Satellite Depots and 4 CDCo Planning for the new products production and Dispatch to be launched into the Market in conjunction with the Marketing dept.Notable Contributions; Improvement of Delivery Performance (On time and In full orders) from a level of 67% to 83% (Peaking at 91%) for PU Mohali. Also known as Order fill rate..Was inducted into Logistics department as a inter-department postings w.e.f 1st April 2005, Was responsible for monitoring and decreasing the SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete) generation through out the country including the three Production Units and the regional distributions between the depots. Distribution Risk Analysis (DRA) for the Distribution network for the country. SSHE (Safety, Security, Health & Environment) policy aspects with respect to the transportation culture. Responsible for the total Logistics Cost for Supply Chain, total slob analysis and trends and Freight report Notable Contributions and recognitions; Was able to decrease the SLOB generation from 0.13 % to 0.09 % (YTD comparison with last year).  Received the Appreciation Letter for SSHE implementation and transportation culture improvement from CEO Asia-pacific Mr. Chew Gaik Hean, Singapore. Received the Appreciation letter for Managing the Distribution Risk from Mr. Paul Corlinous, Sr. Vice President, Operations Paints World Business, Slough, UK.
