The usual scope for MWS work is suitability surveys, review and approvals for loadouts, towages, installations - lifted or float-overs, hook ups, crossings and Jack -up rig moves.

As attending Marine Warranty Surveyor for such projects I have been involved in the whole range of marine activities right from planning stages and upto execution/completion. Some of the usual operations / phases in such offshore development projects are listed below.  Document review and approval Site attendances for weighing of decks/jackets etc. Inspection and approval of the marine spread Loadouts – Lifted / Trailored on SPMTs / Skidded Towage approvals for transportation Heavy / Critical lifts Installation – Lifted / Float on-off Hook up / Tie-in activities Rigmoves Additionally I have experience in the following areas:  Undertake nature, extent and cause of damage surveys on behalf of P & I clubs / underwriters. Investigating bunker quantity and quality disputes. Cargo damage/dispute investigations. Condition and cargo surveys for P&I Clubs. Acting as P & I surveyor for loss prevention when loading specialized cargoes/project cargoes. Acting as P & I representative for Salvage of oil from sunken/submerged vessel. Approvals for final/demolition voyages. Towage approvals for long ocean tows. Consultancy and tow master for towage of SBM crude oil hoses. Marine and HSE audit of Marinas and associated developments on behalf of underwriters. Float on/off and dry towages on submersible Heavy Lift carriers. Witness DP trials and FMEA annual trials

Responsible for Chartering and Operations of a 17 strong fleet of tow tugs, AHTS, barges and DP vessels working from China, South east Asia, India, Middle east to South America.

GESCO is the biggest provider of Offshore support vessels in India and the fleet includes, tugs, AHTS, barges, Construction barges, drill rigs, Deep Sea anchor handlers, FFSV and was the first Indian operator to maintain a fleet of PSVs in the North Sea.I worked as Master on the North Sea Fleet with charterers like BP, Marathon, Shell operating out of Peterhead, Aberdeen, Lerwick (UK) and Kristiansand, Norway.
