Provide Kraft Heinz's European businesses with practical and innovative advice regarding various legal issues, including general commercial law, contract law, competition law, and data protection. In addition, act as a strategic partner and legal counsel for Kraft Heinz's European data privacy programs, including GDPR compliance, and European procurement, logistics, and operations teams.

As Kraft Heinz’s representative on AmCham’s legal committee, I advise the committee on Kraft Heinz’s position on key Dutch legislation and regulation, and educate Dutch regulators and lawmakers on the effect of certain legislation on multinational businesses. I also work closely with senior legal counsel and general counsel of other AmCham member companies to identify key legal risks facing multinational companies operating in the Netherlands.

Advise U.S. and multinational clients on regulatory, litigation, and corporate issues. Representative experience and accomplishments include: • Lead trial associate on a successful $5 million insurance coverage dispute.• Advising a global spice manufacturer on due diligence and product liability issues for a $100 million acquisition of a private consumer goods manufacturer. • Defending a German machinery manufacturer against a $12 million wrongful death and product liability claim.• Defending a multi-billion dollar SaaS startup against state regulatory actions. Advise general counsel on case strategy; manage regulatory team of junior associates; conduct internal investigation, including interviewing key employees; and engage in settlement discussions with state attorney generals. • Advocating on behalf of clients through written and verbal presentations, including drafting an appellate brief that encouraged government regulators to adopt flexible product labeling requirements for food and beverage manufacturers, reducing those companies’ manufacturing and supply chain costs by 10%.• Analyzing existing and proposed regulations to develop product designs that comply with U.S. and international laws.

Resurge International is an international non-profit organization that operates in 15 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to heal impoverished patients suffering from congenital abnormalities or injuries. ReSurge accomplishes this mission by (i) sending US medical teams abroad to provide free reconstructive surgeries and (ii) providing training to local surgeons and medical teams in impoverished countries to do the same, thereby building local surgical access and capacity for the poor.

• Represented international and domestic clients in complex commercial litigation disputes and compliance issues involving fraud, breach of contract, indemnity and negligence. • Successfully represented a national property management company as lead counsel in an unlawful detainer bench trial. • Negotiated a favorable settlement on a product liability claim against a major U.S. car manufacturer.• Extensive experience in motion practice, including discovery motions, summary judgment, motions in limine, jury instructions and trial briefs.
