IBM Consulting Client Reference Program is a strategic oversight function from HCS and BTS growth platform responsible for client references in the form of Marketing Collaterals (case studies, videos, blogs, newsroom, social et al.), supporting Analyst Evaluative Reports (Gartner, IDC, Forrester etc.) and catering to the RFP and Large Transformational Deals. This program in collaboration with various marketing and consulting business functions, ensure IBM's Eminence & Excellence through public client references. The ICCR Search portal is an intuitive federated search tool, built to give a single window view to all the IBM Consulting references. My responsibility is to enhance, maintain and innovate the search portal. Along with being the lead architect I also perform as a project manager for the program ensuring on time and quality deliveries.The reference support provided by this program is crucial to IBM in terms of influencing 1B$ TCV every year.

Migrated 26 applications and 6 schedulers from IKS to Cirrus platform based on Redhat Openshift. ○ ITSS compliance achieved - Whitesource, Contrast, SonarQube, Detect Secrets, Twistlock and Dynatrace. ○ I designed and implemented the deployment architecture in Cirrus. I configured the COS buckets for data storage and managed IAM for them.○ I completed the analysis and POCs for OnePipeline (IBM Coud) and Ci/CD pipeline (CIO). ○ I planned and executed the implementation of the migration, managing the work allocation, running daily scrums with Trello for tracking the tasks. Move to Cirrus was achieved before the year-end deadline with no outage on any application making the migration seamless. These applications generate around 450M$ revenue.Modernized and Migrated Notes DBs to web applications (Technology stack used - Angular, node.js and Elasticsearch) on Kubernetes and IBM Cloud. With the modernization we were able to simplify / improvise their application flows and move to Cloud. ○ I organized discovery sessions with the stakeholders, converting requirements to user scenarios. Led the stakeholder communication providing weekly updates, highlighting risks and preparing for the mitigation.○ I was accountable for the project deliverables in the given budget and timeframe. Delivery done using Agile methodology.○ Exhibited strong understanding of security and architectural principles and applied them in the application design. All security and coding standards followed with tools like SonarQube and vulnerability scans for docker images. ○ Architected the deployment model on Cirrus with Elasticsearch instance on IBM Cloud. Led the data migration from Notes to Cloud. Migrated TeamReview (a Java monolithic application) to Redhat Openshift platform in just 4 months. Integrated with DB2 service on IBM Cloud for data integration while the application was based on IBM Websphere application. Reminders and background tasks achieved via schedulers.

- Develop and implement roadmaps for internal tools for configuration management including the overall strategy of the Corporate review solution deciding the features to be incorporated to drive the tool to success. Grew the user base from 200 to 6000 users in 3 years with 4 integrations for review enablement. User satisfaction increased from 44% to 68%.- Managed all the security and compliance related regulations like GDPR, deploying CA certificates, etc.- Designed the REST based architecture for the review tool. The database is modeled using JPA and EclipseLink while RSA is used for modelling the client-server REST communication based on Apache wink framework. The web client is based on Spring framework. DB2 used as the database and server deployed on WAS Liberty.- Designed the strategic integrations in the review tool which led to doubling of the user base every year. - Proposed a solution to manage comments across different file versions in a review which won a Patent “Comment linkage and display across the review lifecycle of an artifact.”- Proposed a solution to manage comments on changing content in a review which got a Publish rating “Reviewing changing file content to preserve old comments on the new content without modifying the original file.”- Designed and implemented SDLC processes incorporating Agile methodologies such as scrum meetings, biweekly retrospectives using RTC dashboards. As the scrum master facilitate sprint planning, complexity estimation via poker game; imbibing Agile principles in the team functioning which led to accountability and owning of the sprint. Track Agile metrics like sprint velocity, burnout chart, etc.- Responsible for the team’s evaluation, managing goals, coaching them to achieve high quality deliverables and a successful career growth.- Architect ed and led the development of web portal for a client for their Cognitive Analytics Platform. The tool was enabled for use on desktop, iPad and mobile.

 Released fixpacks for CMVC (3), CMVC Eclipse Plugins (2) and CMVC-RTC Connector (5). Self-trained myself to understand the legacy tools like CMVC, CMVC Eclipse Plugins and fixed defects by understanding the code structure, debugging and testing it and finally deployed to production. Implemented CMVC integration in TeamReview. Designed the complete architecture right from DB modelling using JPA, REST modelling using Apache wink and finally implemented the Eclipse based client interfaces. Defined the development process by creating the entire project structure in RTC (streams, components, process template customization, etc.). Added TDD (Test Driven Development) and code reviews in the project process. Shared expertise via an article on the TDD process implementation which got published in PMI North India chapter Synergy quarterly magazine. Implemented the complete build system using ANT scripts and RTC build engine. Received Orion Excellence and Eminence award and managers choice award multiple times.

Worked for Premiere Global Services. PGS is world leader in providing business communication solutions to various industries. Their offerings covered the entire spectrum of communication technologies including Fax, SMS, E-mail, Voice and conferencing and collaboration business solutions. As part of the core switch development team, I was responsible for adding features to their messaging system (Domain Keys support in their email application, added new text-to-speech support to their email delivery system wherein the engine responsible for processing the text to a WAV file was changed), improvised existing features like generation of sorted reports from in-memory solution to a disk based one. I have also worked on enhancing some of the JSP, CGI scripts for data to be shown on the Sent Faxes and Received Faxes page of their Fax2Mail website. I have been responsible for design, development and testing of adding a new feature in the job cancellation system. Along with being responsible for the core development activities, I was also involved in providing technical guidance to the junior team members and mentoring them. Also involved in bug fixing for RT’s (Remedy tickets) or PT’s (problem tickets). This also involved providing production support.

Team Lead handling a team of 5 persons responsible for delivering a web application for CitiFinancial.

Worked on various product development related to Data Warehousing, system software and scientific domains. The 6 and half years were a roller coaster ride working on various technologies from C, C++, VC++, COM, CSS, VB, ODBC, XML, XSL, Java, JSF using different DB systems like DB2, Oracle, SQL on Windows and Unix platforms. With starting off as a Member of technical staff was promoted to Senior Member of Technical Staff in just 1 and half years. Visited customer locations in USA twice and successfully completed the assigned tasks.

Very first company in my career gave me an opportunity to work on Customer Oriented Call Detail Production Service Project for MCI, USA. Also worked on handling Y2K date conversions in COBOL applications to keep all the banking applications running when the year switched from 1999 to 2000. We wrote scripts to change the 2 digit year to 4 digit year in the COBOL programs.
