• In this role on BuckeyeThon’s Executive Board, I led our corporate sponsor acquisition efforts, overall financial tracking for a multimillion dollar nonprofit, and oversaw three key committees while steering BuckeyeThon’s strategic goals for the future

• BuckeyeThon is the largest student-run philanthropy in the state of Ohio, with a tradition of building student leaders and lifelong leaders, raising millions to one day end pediatric cancer and blood disorders at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH)• Over 20+ years, BuckeyeThon has raised over $14 million for NCHo On the Assessment committee, tasked with the organization’s data analysis and internal audit, I built a multipurpose dashboard to visualize registration and fundraising data to our Leadership Team in an accessible manner• Master of Ceremonies at our Dance Marathon 2021, our 24-hour overnight signature event where we celebrate our Miracle Families, community of philanthropy, and reveal our fundraising total from the previous year

Work on Life Valuation team included a term life NPR/CRVM reserve calculator, saving dozens of hours every quarter in standardizing reserve validations.

On the Predictive Analytics team, my main project work was a commercial property underwriting model refresh for a unit writing $230 million premium yearly. This included heavy analysis in R and visualizations in Tableau to provide the business users with detailed insights to highlight rate inadequacies. The ongoing implementation will yield these new rates, a key input to the underwriting process.

During the summer, I worked on the Individual Life Data Analytics and Consulting team to conduct model improvements to operationalize a cross-sell/upsell propensity to purchase model that created several million dollars of premium growth and used on-prem data and deployment. I researched the cloud implementation of this model (both data and model deployment) in AWS and contributed toward expanding the scope of the project through the cross-sell subset. During the summer, I also contributed 15 hours a week as a consultant to another internal team by building a workflow management tool in Power BI, saving that team dozens of hours of manual work per year.During the school year, my work on the Pension Risk Transfer team was a unique opportunity to use actuarial skills to price pension buyout bids in a developing, increasingly competitive market with many new entrants. I specifically worked on converting a stochastic interest rate generation tool in Excel to a R tool that would drastically reduce runtime and ease of use.
