Created an inverse object-relational mapping service and lightweight web application framework while building a new consumer e-commerce site; these tools have evolved and been reused by several other projects and products.

Primary author of Harnessing Hibernate. Co-authored Java Swing, 2nd Edition and Learning Gnu Emacs, 3rd Edition. Authored Hibernate: A Developers Notebook, which won a Productivity Award from Software Development Magazine.

Designed and implemented core database features, communication layers, code generators, and graphical components and interfaces to build health-care applications. Prepared detailed technical documentation and tutorial introductions for technologies. Helped establish company-wide coding standards and performed periodic review of selected development based on those standards.
