Assisted on a project aimed at assessing the quality of courts at district level in India.•Constructed quantitative measures for assessing Indian court quality at district level. •Calculated economic indicators for districts such as per capita GDP across different time periods and states in India. •Validations conducted to check for the estimates of district level economic indicators using panel data analysis with fixed effects.

Associated with the Department of Commerce , Government of India study on Revisiting Special Economic Zones : A Review and Evaluation of India's Special Economic Zone Policy".The study involved recommendations to the Indian government policy makers through a cost benefit analysis of the zones.• Conduct one to one interviews with the SEZ stakeholders, such as the SEZ developers, SEZ owners, investors and also various government departments involved in the functioning of these zones.• Analysing the SEZ performance in terms of growth in output, employment and exports.• Compare the regulatory structure of SEZs in India with other countries, in terms of SEZ development and their management.• Evaluate the performance of SEZs in India with other countries, in terms of the revenue generation, export volume, investment and employment.• Compare the fiscal incentives given by the Indian government to the SEZs under their SEZ Policy with the fiscal incentives given to the other industries, and also compare it with such incentives given to the SEZs by other countries.• Report writing for the project.
