Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.Negotiate transportation rates or services & recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergencies.Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.Ensure a balance between supply and demand by establishing minimum holding stocks to cover lead-time and to avoid stock-outs.Responsible for monitoring the movements of goods as they are transported from the supplier and also the control of stock locations & movements in the warehouse facility.Maintain & prepare monthly reports such as vendor/supplier report, cycle count, inventory on hand, empty bin report, shipment by customers, history by supplier.
