General Manager - Latin America & Caribbean
• Full P&L (EBITDA) and operational responsibility for all business activities, employees, sales, marketing and distribution to all countries in the Caribbean and Latin America region, including Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, US & British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten/St. Martin, Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Suriname, Curacao, Aruba, and Peru among others. Optimized daily and weekly work-in-progress planning sessions with key distributor and account decision makers• Grew divisional sales by more than 30% in 2008 and again in 2009, surpassing aggressive annual company stretch financial and volume goals by more than 15%. 2010 planned and on-track growth will again surpass all sales and financial goals. • In top key market of Puerto Rico, increased sales year-on-year by 38.5%. In Q1 2010, had best ever Quarter with 65% growth over prior year.• Recruit, train and oversee a multicultural, multilingual regional sales & marketing team geographically positioned for maximum business development and in-market distributor and account interaction. Averaged 18 days per month working in overseas markets with distributors and clients • Defining and driving a successful sales, marketing and distribution growth strategy for both ongoing and new business development in targeted markets, ensuring full implementation and flawless execution at both regional and local levels• Significantly increasing retail penetration, resulting in a more than 40% growth in that particular channel of trade over the last 15 months• Secure important exclusive annual purchasing commitments from numerous high profile resorts i.e. Atlantis, Parrot Cay, Sandals, Ritz Carlton, Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, Hilton, Cap Juluca, Viceroy, Punta Cana, Casa de Campo, El Conquistador, etc, and retail chain accounts such as Dufry, City Markets, Foster's Food Fair, Le Grand Marche, Gourmet Gallery, Pueblo, Walgreens, Kmart, IGA, among many others throughout the region.
