At the intersection of the self and the other

During the end of summer to early fall I had the opportunity to work as a Brand Ambassador for Hello Fresh at a number of markets and conventions, the largest one being the PNE.Building on the skills I honed at Public Outreach I was able to achieve just over 1.5 sales per hour on average throughout the events that I had worked at. This opportunity has allowed me to further develop my understanding of in person marketing, rapport building and handling rejections. My biggest takeaway is that centering yourself in the mindset of helping rather than selling and taking the opportunity to have genuine conversations with people you may never meet again.

As a canvasser for public outreach, I utilize my excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential donors and convey the mission as well as the impact of the charities I represent. This role has been challenging and humbling, but overall enjoyable as I love talking to new people and getting a chance to help out.

Road Star Transportation is a moving company that specializes in long distance residential moves. I worked with them for a short time as a manager for their sales department where I trained 2 employees, developed sales processes and automated procedures for maintaining customer relationships.
