• Manage 30 client relationships, a $150mm+ portfolio for the bank, within the large capitalization Technology, Media, and Telecom industry by providing financing solutions in attempts to grow the bank’s book of business and optimize client’s capital structures• Conduct company and industry specific analysis for a widespread of transactions totaling $100+Bn, including merger and acquisitions, bond issuances (high yield, investment grade, and hybrid markets), credit facility refinancing, share repurchase and dividend programs, cost optimization initiatives, balance-sheet enhancements, and term loan syndications• Prepare materials for pitches and mandates utilizing Microsoft Suite tools, Factset, Bloomberg, and CapitalIQ for clients consisting of the following analysis: corporate strategy and advisory, discounted cash flows, cash waterfall models, capital structure benchmarking, return of capital analysis, debt capacity analysis, liquidity analysis, merger and acquisition analysis, peer set analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting• Facilitate dialogue and business between companies with internal product partners in the attempt to grow the number of solutions clients are utilizing the bank for including FX & rates, global treasury services, enterprise credit, and capital markets• Conduct regulatory, statutory, and SEC compliance for clients, including the corporate parent, subsidiaries, and beneficial owners in domestic and international jurisdictions by collecting, reviewing, processing “Know-Your-Client” documentation• Collaborate directly with companies’ C-suite, treasury, and investor relations teams to provide recommendations on public messaging to shareholders, investors, researchers, and other financial institutions pertaining to transactions, pivotal strategic initiatives, updated corporate finance metrics, and required ancillary disclosures

During my virtual internship, I spent a lot of time building onto the knowledge obtained from the previous summer experience, including topics such as debt structure analysis, capital structure benchmarking, capitalization tables, spreading comparables, valuations, and credit rating analysis. I also spent time learning about various products offered by the bank including, but not limited to, LevFin, FX, DCM, GTS, and M&A. Despite the transition to a virtual experience, I was still honored to have the ability to work closely with the TMT globally.

During my summer here, I spent a lot of time learning and applying various fundamental financial analysis techniques including, but not limited to, debt structure analysis, capital structure benchmarking, capitalization tables, spreading comps, valuations, and credit rating analysis. I also spent time learning about various products offered by the bank as solutions for our clients including, but not limited to, LevFin, FX, DCM, GTS, and M&A. It was very humbling to have the opportunity to do work that was actually used in live deals with large cap companies, while also working with people at various positions and seniority across the bank.

I was a part of the SEO Success program and the SEO Edge Program where I receive 100+ hours of individualized coaching and online instruction to achieve targeted interview, technical, and professional development goals. I also learned the fundamentals of investment banking necessary to compete successfully for internship opportunities. Lastly, I completed industry specific training and assessments focused on developing technical skills, institutional knowledge, and attention to detail.Responsibilities since completing the scholar programs:• Directed an educational video for current scholars interested in pursuing a career in corporate banking • Provide weekly mentorship to current scholars and alumni on navigating a career in Finance and personal goal setting• Serve as a Firm Captain for the Bank of America Chapter and liaising with other financial institutions and the SEO organization; alongside organizing bi-annual alumni events and coaching interns during the summer to ensure they all receive full-time offers

I am a part of a lab that studies the wing development and pigmentation of Jadera haematoloma (Jh) and Oncopeltus fasciatus (Of) by using CRISPR to genetically modify phenotypic expression. I am currently trying to knock out four genes that changes the eye color and body pigmentation to serve as markers for the success of our genetic transfection. I have also made a homogeneous stock of Jh with a recessive body pigment color through mendelian inheritance and cross-breeding. In addition, I have successfully developed a protocol that yields suffice survival rates for Of egg injections. I know how to perform the following techniques: RNA extraction, synthesis, purification, micro injections, pulling needles, plasmid cloning, and culturing bacteria.

I was a part of the committee responsible for reviewing development proposals for the college. The committee is responsible for the strategic planning of investments made by the college over the next decade. One of the things I greatly appreciated about this opportunity is that their is consensus decision making rather than top-down. Through this experience, I learned how to communicate, interact, and participate in a room full of executives. If it wasn't enough pressure, I was the only student selected by the president of the college to represent the student voice for the entire student population.

I was one of 60 students responsible for fostering community within residence halls and the greater Colby campus. One of our focuses was easing the transition of first-year students upon arrival to learn about all the resources that are available to them as well as being a resource for them. We were also responsible for putting on events throughout the year that enabled students to engage and meet new faces while learning ways to better their mental, physical, emotional, and social health. In my residence hall, we worked with 24 first-years as well as 70 upperclassmen. All CAs have received 100+ hours of training to be able to assess delicate issues and deescalate any other conflicts that occur around campus. On weekend nights, we were responsible for going through the residence halls to ensure that no student is overly intoxicated or ill.

While I was a part of ITS, I provided customer service for faculty, staff, and students through in-person, telephone, and online communication. I was responsible for helping people with any computer concerns that they had (except for hardware malfunctions) ranging from downloading and navigating software, cleaning viruses off of computers, making computers more efficient, and running to class to help professors with their lecture/presentations.

I had the opportunity to participate in multiple modules that introduced the different research opportunities offered across the scientific disciplines at Colby through the CAPS program. I also had the opportunity to work on a poster presented at CUSSR on the water health of the Belgrade Lakes.

It is an honor to say that I am Questbridge Scholar that was matched to Colby College. Upon finding out, I made it a goal to show other students from my neighborhood about this organization so that they too can have the opportunity because nobody from where I grew up knew about this and I wanted to change that. So I became an Ambassador and spoke to over 200 high school students about what Questbridge is and the amazing opportunity it provides students who are unable to afford higher education. I also worked one-on-one with several students during their application process because I wanted to do more than just spill a bunch of information at them. The presentations I hosted as well as my one-on-ones paid dividends when I found out that some of these students did end up getting matched and going to higher education schools such as University of Pennsylvania and Scripps College. I then wanted to continue my assistance to QuestBridge students who made it to Colby and decided to become a mentor for them as well to ensure that once they arrive to Colby, they know how to make the best of it.Responsibilities since becoming an alumni:• Guide potential scholarship candidates in High School through the application process• Hosted educational workshops on the organization across several High Schools in Manhattan, spreading awareness of the opportunity to underrepresented and low-income students seeking higher education without burdening their families financially• Assisted in the development of a Colby College Chapter, uniting the scholarship recipients, and building community through monthly events• Steward undergraduate students, monthly, in field of study selection, internship selection, and post-college success

As an Expanded Horizons Scholar, I met with my college counselors twice a week where they assisted me with my college application process. Now that I am in college, we have check-in meetings throughout the year to make sure that I am on track to graduate, but also on track to succeed in all aspects of my life at college and post-college. Responsibilities since completing the scholars program:• Guest speaker and workshop facilitator on topics ranging from personal finance, navigating the college application process, collegiate experience, careers within Finance, discovering scholarship and internship programs, and homeownership• Invited to attend several fundraising events, ranging from speaking to state officials, corporations, and sponsoring entities

Over the course of the semester, I had the pleasure of taking morning classes where I learned about a variety of marine science fields of study: Biogeochemistry, Biological Oceanography, and Physical Oceanography. Alongside the classes were labs in vitro and in situ. I was able to analyze some of the data gathered from the in situ experiments taken from cruises to create an anomaly plot of seasonal algae bloom timing change in the last decade. At the same time, I conducted an individual research where I successfully managed to target the expression of genes to a specific organelle inside of an oyster parasite.

In this research experience, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Bermuda Institute for Ocean Sciences. There, I visited multiple sites around Bermuda where we conducted Benthic analysis of coral species population and fish behavior around transects. We studied predation rates, grazing rates, and species density. We also conducted side experiments studying how corals from different depths responded to gradual changes in temperatures. In addition, CTD sensors were analyzed as well as plates that were used to study coral recruitment. Once we returned to Bigelow, we took all of our data and further analyzed it to determine the overall health of the Bermuda reefs compared to other Caribbean reefs. I was responsible for titrating retrieved water samples from out different visited sites to compare alkalinity values.

While I interned at CariClub, I had the opportunity to learn how a business runs, ranging from how the relationships with nonprofits are made to the extent to which models and presentations were made for client satisfactions and leveraging. I ended up gravitating towards working closely with the Business intelligence associate and the CEO because I found their work very interesting. Working alongside them, I had the opportunity to use my business development skills to locate over 1200 new nonprofits in Houston in Los Angeles that would potentially enable CariClub to expand to new markets. I also had the opportunity to work of my first financial models that were used for monthly client reporting of member success on the social platform. I also was tasked with a bunch of other jobs, but overall this experience was significantly rewarding for me because reignited the fire I had within me about contextualizing and deriving meaning from numbers.

While I interned hear, I had the opportunity to streamlined the process of identifying morgues in the city by cleaning the database of 4,000 facilities and updating it to contain 800. In addition, I prepared personnel certifications for Homeland Security funding to support grant activities of various personnel. I also had the opportunity to tour some of their labs to learn about the different studies of forensics which helped me determine which field I might be most interested in pursuing a career in.

I participated in three-week science course including that allowed me to explores the kinds of research done in geology, biology, and chemistry. I completed over ninety hours of class including after-class assignments, readings, and lab. On the side of classes, I was also a part of a research team responsible for conducting research on the Mid-continental rift in order to create a geographical anomaly of its shape using the Earth's change in local magnetic field strength.

I participated in three-week graduate law course in the graduate law school at Cornell University where I had the opportunity to learn about different studies of law one can pursue. I briefed cases, had over ninety hours of class along with assignments, textbook readings, and a final moot court. I also had the opportunity to visit law firms as well as courthouses to observe how the different environments were fostered.
