Director Of Programming
CurrentIn four years I improved the program quality of the festival and brought in high profile guests. The 2020 festival had confirmed Military Wives to be our opening night film with actress Kristin Scott Thomas and director Peter Cattaneo in attendance. As director of programming, I wrote film descriptions and copy for the printed programs, introduced films and moderated Q&A's after the film screenings. As festival manager, I oversaw operational procedures, box office, guest hospitality, sponsorships and patron donations.
Director Of Programming
I was instrumental in raising the quality of programming in my five years with the festival. I curated a solid lineup of feature and short films and specialty sidebar programs at this Academy-Accredited festival that also happens to be the oldest documentary festival in the country. Some highlights from my work with the 2018 festival included programming Free Solo and Period End of Sentence (both went on to win Oscars four months later); creating and moderating the Truth In Journalism Vs. Fake News panel and sidebar; and securing and presenting our Award recipients Brett Morgen and Sally Jo Fifer. I also updated the brand through suggesting a new logo and attracted PMK to publicize the festival.

Coordinated logistics for Busan West, a biannual Asian Film Festival, and programmed a short film competition in conjunction with Busan International where the two award winners were screened at the festival in South Korea. Coordinated logistics for two UFVA Conferences. Read and reviewed admissions files for prospective students.
Dir. Of Short Film Programming
Curated ten solid theme programs of short films. Our two jury award winners (God of Love & The Lost Thing) went on to win Oscars four months later.
