Racing in a fleet of 12 sailing yachts between London, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Albany, Sydney, Hobart and Airlie Beach in Queensland, Australia. Also taking in the prestigious Rolex Sydney Hobart Race.

Providing strategic direction, management and coordination of all Tourism related projects and stakeholders in the region. I led a multi-sector stakeholder partnership delivering the economic and employment targets of the Anglesey Destination Management Plan while ensuring compliance and synergy with all relevant local, regional and national policies, guidelines and strategies.During my time in the role I re-structured the program management and stakeholder engagement frameworks. I also developed and implemented the communication plan and facilitated relationships with key internal & external partners including Visit Wales (Welsh Government), North Wales Tourism, neighbouring Local Authorities, Elected Members, private sector representatives and the Executive Management Team. I played a key part in developing regional infrastructure projects, delivering Major Events including the Tour of Britain Grand Depart (Cycling), and contributed to a major strategic economic response to a new Nuclear Build planning application.The core responsibilities included; project development; project management; line management of a small team; identifying and securing funding; programme monitoring and targeted reporting; procuring and managing contractors and consultants; communications and online content management.

Project consulting role, engaging and supporting businesses and organisations to identify, develop and deliver both capital and revenue community regeneration projects. I provided simultaneous support for over 30 projects in the region. Some of the main aspects of the role were identifying local needs and opportunities; project development; developing funding applications; stakeholder engagement; conflict management; mentoring; and facilitating workshops and public consultations.Working to develop sustainable self-sufficient projects and organisations, we identified skills gaps, built up organisational capacity; built and nurtured local relationships and ensured the overall projects contributed to the local community in a sustainable manner.

Pathfinder was a Welsh Government sponsored action research program which examined and supported community action on climate change across Wales. Acting as both researcher and project consultant, I provided direct support and mentoring to a range of small/medium organisations while researching best practices and trialling different support mechanisms. I played a key role in developing the program’s stakeholder engagement methodology, communication plan and project monitoring & reporting frameworks. I also developed and implemented the community consultation, research and reporting methodology, as well as facilitating relationships between the local community, businesses, consultants, multinational organisations (AECOM) and both Local & National Government.

Responsible for producing the AONB Magazine and managing the website content, and also engaging in public events and giving talks and presentations to local organisations and the press.

Managing conservation projects within the Pen Llyn a'r Sarnau Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The position also called for stakeholder and community engagement and contributing to national conservation strategies and discussions, and engaging with statutory organisations such as Welsh Government and the Countryside Council for Wales. Managing the website content and producing printed materials. There was also a strong educational element which included event organising, public speaking, presentations, and sessions for both primary and secondary school pupils.

Environment Wales is the Sustainable Development Initiative funded by the National Assembly for Wales As part of a nation-wide team of officers I was personally supporting over 40 organisations, community groups and voluntary organisations at any one time. The role involved developing and nurturing volunteer organisations; providing governance advice; project and organisational development support; funding advice and support; monitoring and reporting progress; mentoring; identifying training opportunities; providing best practice information.We also contributed to ongoing work regarding developing Welsh Government Policy and Strategic direction regarding the Environment and Community Development.
