After completing University, I decided to join post-graduation school that offered R&D work on creating bare-metal electronic control system for a perspective diesel engine. Our small team of three people was able to create a mathematical model of a diesel engine, a fast real-time software implementation of it and an another software that was designed to be a control system for this engine. In a collaboration with another team that designed a hardware for this system, we were able to create a physical prototype that was able to drive a real diesel engine.While my colleagues were doing most of the analytical math and simulations, my work was to create a C++ implementation of their model and also a firmware for bare metal control system. Here I gained a skill of diving into large microprocessor spreadsheets to find a possibility for my firmware to be quick and robust. Show less
