Devops Engineer / Scrummaster
Mid-2022, Amber and MyWheels started a joined-venture. As part of this, I started my job as a DevOps Engineer for both MyWheels and Amber platform.- Migrated the existing managed-VPS solution to a Kubernetes cluster (Helm, Rancher, Terraform, GitLab)- Set-up centralized logging using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Beats, Logstash, Kibana) and Sentry- Participated restructuring the combined dev team into 3 autonomous functioning scrum teams- Interim product owner starting active participation between the backoffice dev team and stakeholders from the operations and support teams.
Lead Developer / Devops Engineer
- Responsible for the security, performance and availability of the Amber platform providing electric car mobility to 60,000+ users- Supported the other developers in technical decisions and providing tooling to work more efficiently (both during local development and live testing)- Heavily involved in the technical and product roadmap- Implemented Ansible to automate maintaining Debian-based VPSes in the platform- Implemented a back-up strategy and full failover environment to retain availability- Set-up Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, Kibana, APM) to monitor & audit the platform, and analyze performance bottlenecks- Draft and started implementing a plan to convert the current VPS infrastructure to a container-based hosting (Kubernets, Docker)- Implemented CloudFlare WAF to secure the platform

- Building the initial prototype of the car sharing platform using Symfony, React and Vue- Continued development of the product providing electric car mobility to 13,000+ B2B users- Set-up GitLab CI/CD, including static analysis, unit testing and Git/shell based deployment to self-managed VPSes- Responsible for the scalability of the platform (incl. MySQL, Nginx, PHP-FPM)- Responsible for the security of the back-end system and platform infrastructure conforming strict B2B requirements- Heavily involved in the technical and product roadmap, shaping the product and preparing it for future growth
