I currently graduated from the University of San Francisco with my BSN. I have always been interested in the world of healthcare and what comes with it. I plan to attend a new grad program and continuing my education as well. The passion for this profession all started in high school, having a family experience in the hospital. The nurses I met showed so much compassion and empathy that it made me want to want to pursue this occupation to help and dedicate my time to help others feel that special. I was also being able to shadow multiple doctors and nurses that would provide answers to many of my questions, while also volunteering for a charity group called National Charity League. During my years at USF, I was able to get involved in the school community, advance my education, and improve my clinical skills at different hospital sites. Additionally, I completed 180 hours in the ICU for my capstone where I learned critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork. The hands on experiences I obtained taught me the importance of patient-centered care. Outside of school, I volunteered at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, where I help out at the FINDconnect desk and interact with different patients to help provide them with community resources. I am also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, taking on the role as Vice President of Finance and in the past Vice President of External Affairs. And over the summer I had the opportunity to take part of a medical internship in Guatemala with 22 other students from USF. In my free time, I enjoy to stay active, travel, and read a good book.
