ERP Financials & BackOffice Technologies Domain ArchitectAs a Domain Architect I am responsible for designing and implementing technology architecture in Avista's ERP Financials and Back-office functional spaces. I work closely with business leaders in these areas to envision and define their strategic goals and formulate them into roadmaps. From these roadmaps, I propose long-term technology solutions and together we build an execution plan to realize these goals. Avista operates in an agile environment and my development teams execute on the identified projects along with short-term features and adjustments to accommodate the rapidly changing industry demands. My teams and I believe in true partnership with the business to ensure Avista is operating efficiently and effectively so that we can deliver safe, reliable, and affordable energy to the Pacific Northwest. The financial domain encompasses corporate and resource accounting, tax, supply chain, accounts receivable/payable, inventory, and warehouse management. Back-office technologies includes HR, Legal Risk, and many other areas of our operations that serve internal business units within Avista. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to engage with a large range of business groups and functions within Avista and help them solve for a diverse and ever-changing set of challenges. I also have the pleasure of bettering and evolving Avista's internal technology practice working with the Enterprise Architecture Office to constantly evolve our frameworks strategy and best practices.

As a Solution Architect designed and oversaw the delivery of technology solutions to the business. I oversaw and assisted a scrum team of developers and quality assurance analysts to develop and implement new functionality and enhancements to support Avista's business operations. Our team specifically supported the following applications and business areas: E-Business Suite (corporate and project accounting, supply chain and inventory, accounts payable and receivable), PowerPlan (fixed assets and tax), and reporting platforms. As Solution Architect I acted as Team Lead, taking ownership of solution designs, and implementing standards and best practices within the team and the technologies we supported.

Enhanced and maintain Avista's ERP solutions for project and fixed asset accounting, inventory and supply chain, procurement, work management and customer management. Developed enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy among theses systems. Provided teir 3 production support when issues arose. Performed patching an upgrades to the applications, databases and Operating Systems. Added value through reporting and analytics solutions that layered on top of all of these platforms to better understand trends and how to improve business operations.

The primary responsibilities were very similar to my previous role as an Application Development Consultant. As an Enterprise Technology Consultant my responsibilities expanded to leading teams and projects as well as training junior technical consultants. In this role I worked closely with business process leaders in many departments across a diverse set of industries to advise on best practices and develop solutions for their unique challenges. This included extensive work in HR and compensation, finance and accounting, procurement, asset lifecycle accounting, legal and contracts, tax and treasury and operations, and customer relationship management.

As an Application Development Consultant my responsibilities were to facilitate implementations and upgrades of Enterprise Applications. This primarily centered around Oracle ERP application including Oracle E-Business Suite, and JD Edwards. In this role I directly supported clients by providing on-site and remote custom application development to enable their business to fully maximize the benefits from their technology investments. I provided technical application configuration, and built and supported custom reporting, custom application functionality and extensibility, and integrations into their technology landscapes. This included extensive work in HR and compensation, finance and accounting, procurement, asset lifecycle accounting, legal and contracts, tax and treasury and operations, and customer relationship management.
