Provide Intensive Services to veterans who have barriers to employment. Interview veterans for referral to suitable job openings, counsel veterans for self-directed job search and tracks entered employments of these veterans.Conduct interviews and gather information regarding training needs, education, experience, skills, interests and other relevant data to deliver the appropriate level of services and assist veterans entering employment. Perform outreach to community organizations, employers, veterans' organizations and other service providers to promote veterans employment goals and objectives. Refer veterans to employment opportunities and contact employers to conduct job developments for veterans to escalate employment opportunities based on qualifications consistent with employer requirements. Assist in the preparation of quarterly manager reports. Ensure veterans received priority of service on all posted job openings. Accepted and processed Work In Texas applications ensuring completeness and quality. Interview and assess veterans to explore career development opportunities and training needs. Disseminate labor market information and information regarding Veterans Employment Services. Match veteran qualifications to requirements on employer job postings. Conduct veteran workshops to provide resume writing assistance, dress for success and interviewing skills. Assist in the planning and coordination of job fairs at Workforce Centers and other selected locations. Entered and retrieved information into the Work In Texas data base and client tracking system. Interact with Local Workforce Board Directors and members to present information on the Veteran Employment Services Program and their purpose. Conduct Priority of Service training to partner staff in Workforce Solutions Centers.
