Clinical Education Specialist
CurrentI have been in the health system for 28 years. My back ground is med-surg, orthopedics and rehabilitation. I was a staff nurse for 12 years and in January 2000 became the educator for the in patient rehabilitation unit. In 2012 I transitioned to supervisor of the rehab unit and have been the clinical education specialist for the inpatient rehabilitation unit since January 2016. The rehabilitation unit specializes in SCI and TBI patients. Other populations seen are trauma, CVA, some orthopedic and cardiac surgery patients. I am responsible for new hire orientation, competencies, staff education, program education, patient education. Assist staff with meeting regulatory standards. Certified in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN), Nurse Executive (NE-BC) and Nurse Professional Development (RN-BC). I am a member of ARN, ANA, and ANPDI am the current president of the BENV Kiwanis located in Mill Hall, PA
