As a Mechanical Design Engineer for Sanmina, I primarily perform and lead medical device development where I utilize SolidWorks for plastic, sheet metal, thermoforming, seal, and pneumatic design, as well as FEA and rapid prototyping purposes. In addition, I am the lead mechanical engineer for multiple projects, with the responsibility of full mechanical documentation, and the management of multiple mechanical engineers.Further responsibilities include thermal, acoustic, and vibration analysis/optimization. As well as selecting and maintaining vendor relationships for various projects.

During the three terms that I worked at Adtran I was on a team of multiple mechanical design engineers. I gained direct experience of the entire design process and implementation of various products. I used Solid Edge primarily for the design and documentation, while also conducting various tests in the lab. This is including but not limited to, thermal analysis of large systems, rapid prototype testing, and fluid analysis of fans and air filters for convection purposes. I was also tasked with completing FEA of different mechanical components.Other experienced I have gained includes package optimization, plastic part design, correspondence with various international organizations and companies for parts and services, and compliance testing.

A member of the geometric modeling division that was in the process of creating a virtual model of a military installation. My co-workers and I assembled a library of different infrastructure to populate in a gaming engine for simulation.I also was tasked with importing various models into the satellite simulation software STK.
