Hello! My name is Eduardo Del Rio, and I’m from California's Central Valley. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and playing sports. Most recently, I explored Montreal and Quebec City—a trip that inspired me to start learning a new language, which I see as a rewarding challenge.I’m a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics. During my undergraduate studies, I gained hands-on experience in multiple research labs, working on diverse projects. For my senior capstone, I focused on developing and expressing monoclonal antibodies for RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). This project deepened my passion for protein engineering and pharmaceutical development.In addition to my research background, I bring valuable clinical experience as a laboratory assistant in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. Through this role, I’ve developed expertise in clinical laboratory testing across various specimen types and am proficient in using systems such as Cerner, Epic, and Sunquest.These experiences—alongside my academic foundation—have fueled my interest in pursuing roles in healthcare or R&D within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
