About Demy Kremers

Currently working as a Solutions Engineer at Accerion. Accerion has a unique localization technology (called Triton) for mobile robots that requires no infrastructure and has the highest accuracy in industry. As a Solutions Engineer I am involved in early sales calls with potential customer, onboard new customers with initial integration of our unique technology and design their localization solution with Triton.Also since January 2022 I am Product Owner of the Customer Journey team within our Customer Success department. The goal of the Customer Journey team is to simplify integration of our technology and enable our customers to get the most out of their Triton.I hold a background in Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Control Systems Technology. During my career at the TU Eindhoven I worked on various projects such as: building a Star Wars BB8 inspired robot, force estimation algorithms for a rehabilitation robot during my internship in Melbourne, and implementation of optimal control algorithms for autonomous quadcopters during my graduation project at Avular.

    Finished my Master thesis on the topic of Embedded Model Predictive Control for Quadrotors at Avular, which got rewared with an 8.5. Experiments with the Avular Aerial Curiosity quadrotor showed the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in practice. The proposed control strategy and mathematical stability proof formed the basis of a paper I co-wrote, which has been submitted to the American Control Conference.

    I worked on force estimation techniques for the upper-limb rehabilitation robot EMU (see video). The force exerted by a patient is a crucial piece of information in control strategies for rehabilitation therapy exercises. A force sensor can be expensive and difficult to implement in the hardware and software design of the robot and for this reason, a sensorless force estimator is implemented and validated on the EMU robot. I wrote and presented a paper with experimental results for the International Conference on Neurorehabilitation Robotics in Pisa, Italy.
