Working within the Rural and Community Development Directorate at Clare County Council on community health and wellbeing projects. Responsibilities include; - Administering and reporting on departmental grants to community and voluntary groups across County Clare- Procurement duties including tendering, managing inventory. - Developing and implementing National and Local campaigns examples include The Digital Smartphone Project, We're Breastfeeding Friendly Clare, 'Not Around Us' Towards a Tobacco and Vape Free Clare, Clare's Upcycling Christmas Challenge, 'From a Distance Concert Series' for Cultural Companions.- Multidisciplinary and intersectoral workings with colleagues in other departments and external agencies like the HSE, Tusla, Family Resource Centres, Sports Partnerships and community groups. Ex. Keepwell Project in response to Covid-19 and Clare Active and Healthy Action - Community Engagement via social, print and radio media. Monthly Healthy Clare - Keepwell Newsletters, visiting grantees and their funded projects, hosting webinars, attending health promotion events around the county and organising ministerial visits to funded projects. Examples include Healthy Ireland Age Friendly Ireland Comhairle na nÓgCYPSC Active and Healthy ActionsStrategic planning'sSub CommitteesCollaboratory work The Healthy Clare placement is focused on community engagement. Examples include the promotion of the Healthy Clare initiative on social media, radio and county events especially when conducting site visits to grantees. The local authority, Healthy Ireland and HSE funded projects and campaigns are dynamic and need a multi factorial approach to their design, implementation and evaluation. Therefore there is a variety of stakeholders working with the Healthy Clare team and their county wide campaigns and programs.
