I started by journey with JDRF in 2007 at the North Central CT/Western MA Chapter in Farmington, CT where I was a Special Events Coordinator. Job responsibilities included:- Assisting in the planning, implementation & logistics of all chapter special events including the Walk to Cure Diabetes, Promise Ball Gala, Annual Meeting and JDRF Family Network- Recruitment, training and motivation of volunteers for all chapter events- The overall planning, item procurement and execution of the silent auction at the Promise Ball Gala- Development and local growth of the JDRF Kids Walk Program- Working closely with numerous chapter committees and the board of directors facilitating meetings and working to effectively represent the JDRF mission- Preparing & executing large scale mailings to solicit donations and sponsorships for all chapter fundraising events- Updating chapter website and creating monthly e-blasts using a web-based Email Marketing SystemIn 2010 I relocated to Denver, CO where I worked as the Development Coordinator in the JDRF Rocky Mountain Chapter.
