I took their rigorous 11-week program where we learned Ruby on Rails for the back end of a web application, and React JavaScript for the front end, along with a host of other technologies and protocols to get us up to speed with the industry and train us to be enthusiastic, contributing members of the team from day one!

Teach live Spanish classes remotely to high school classes in rural Oklahoma. Through audio-visual internet technology I teach with comprehensible input, which is finding meaningful ways to repeat the language structures taught in class enough times for the students to internalize them and be able to use them in real conversation.

I taught the primary English class for incoming freshmen which focused on basic writing and grammar skills. My class was taught in a live classroom, but had many e-learning components to it.

I mentored the senior class, teaching them history, government, literature, writing, and speaking. I also taught mixed-grade classes in Shakespeare, Algebra, Theatre, and Ballroom dance. As a school, ILA focused on developing leadership skills and a deep understanding of principles of government, particularly in the senior year. I was particularly responsible for developing these skills in my twelve- to fifteen-person senior class, and to a lesser extent with the other mixed classes I taught.

I reviewed student's papers mostly for principles of composition, and helped the students understand what needed the most work in terms of the clarity and purpose of their writing. I also taught classes on speed reading.
