Denice is an undergraduate student majoring in public health at Northeastern University. As part of the e-board of Northeastern’s Caribbean Student Organization, Denice serves as a Program Coordinator and previously held the role of Cultural Liaison. Her commitment to community engagement is reflected in their volunteer work with Hearts for the Homeless, where she helped create feminine hygiene products for homeless women in Boston. Denice has also fostered a mentorship for elementary school children through Peace Through Play. She is mentoring two first-year students at Northeastern, helping guide their academic and personal growth.Denice has also gained experience through their work with the Boston Public Health Commission, where she assists in organizing a healthcare conference for Black women, addressing the underrepresentation of Black women in health and promoting broader awareness of the underserved community. Passionate about mental health advocacy, Denice aspires to be a trusted resource for those navigating disparities and challenges.Denice enjoys outdoor activities such as scenic walks and running in their free time. She is eager to enter the workforce and contribute to public health by educating communities and creating safe, inclusive spaces for support.
