It also means having an established record of creating and growing revenue, running happy, expert and motivated teams; successful and cooperative teams.Headed every aspect of a multi-million dollar specialty retail chain forover 20 years. Locations included nationally recognized conceptualstores, Trek Bicycles on Michigan Avenue and Chicago BicycleCompany. Duties included corporate decision making, strategic business planning and implementation, annual budgeting, marketing,purchasing, corporate reporting, inventory and personnelmanagement. Realized annual multi-million dollar growth projections.Teams of 20+ managers, mechanics, and sales staff managed.Recognized as one of the nation’s top bicycle retailers, 2014.Recovering from a broken collar bone, suffered in a cycling accident, I started at OTR bicycles as operational manager while finishing my degree. The real education, the bicycle industry, came working under Armando Gallo, the original proprietor of the long standing Chicago bicycle corporation. I became president in 1998, partnering with new ownership, and grew the franchise to include 3 multi million dollar storefronts in Chicago by 2009, including nationally recognized Trek Bicycles on Michigan Avenue, and later Chicago Bicycle Company.The next challenge will involve bringing a team or multiple teams to a happy realization of potential.
