Helped drive several large scale operational changes including capability and domain models, rolling out of agile – starting with SAFe to Scrum and Scaled Agile. Implemented an Agile OpEx/CapEx process in close collaboration with Finance. This removed blockers to frequent releases, gave the team the ability to test without impacting customers, allowed testing of new features with a subset of customers, and provided the ability for the team to switch off features if needed under any operational impacting issues. Established the mindset within the team to be data and customer focused.Coaching teams to apply engineering process excellence. Significantly lowered time from requirement to release (from quarterly to as and when needed – several times a sprint); lowered down time for releases from days to zero; lowered production incidents to less than 1 a quarter; test coverage has significantly increased from regression coverage only to full dev ops. Reduced the number of testers per team has gone from average of 3 testers to 1 QA/Dev Ops.Establishing core software engineering practices such as pair programming, TDD, Dev Ops and establishing operational support processes.Active member of the Maersk.com strategy team, working on the ten-year vision. Senior Delivery Manager Level 2: managing 7 scrum teams, located both in the UK and Lisbon. Department responsibility for recruitment strategy as well as budgets. Project Manager on many projects and responsibility for multiple budgets up to £16m.Primary area of responsibilty is the Online Video Platform which provides the backend systems for critical Sky products such as Sky Go, Sky Kids, Sky Q, Now TV, as well as wholesale partnerships.Whilst in this role I have been responsible for working Internationally, managing Delivery Teams who included: Scrum Masters, Test Managers, Project Managers, Architects and Dev Ops. I have also managed the introduction of Big Data to Sky and online security as well as deprecating a number of old systems. Team size has ranged from 60 to 150 people.
